I'm Divya M.B., Founder of Kalpamrutha™ Swadeshi Living — an emerging Indian lifestyle brand connecting traditional products, local enterprise, manufacturing and modern retail.
My educational background in Fashion Technology gave me an early foundation in creativity, design, products and consumer preferences. My entrepreneurial journey gradually developed beyond fashion into a much broader vision — creating an Indian brand that could bring together traditionally prepared food products, personal care, handloom, handicrafts, sustainable lifestyle products and rural entrepreneurship.
That vision led to the development of Kalpamrutha Swadeshi Living. Today, my work spans product development, manufacturing, retail operations, exhibitions, customer engagement, brand building and exploring new opportunities for Kalpamrutha's future growth.
For me, entrepreneurship isn't only about building a company. It's about creating something meaningful, building trust one customer at a time, and continuously learning through experience.
Kalpamrutha's journey has grown through direct customer interaction rather than conventional advertising — built one exhibition, one conversation and one product at a time.
We started by understanding raw materials, sourcing, traditional processes and what consumers actually needed from an everyday Indian product.
We took our products directly to communities through exhibitions, awareness programmes and retail initiatives — every exhibition became an opportunity to listen, every customer question a chance to improve.
That listening expanded the business into product manufacturing, Swadeshi Mart retail outlets, and digital commerce through Kalpamrutha.com.
The journey continues toward experiential retail, Kalpamrutha Experience Centres, and a broader ecosystem of trusted Indian products.
Kalpamrutha™ Swadeshi Living is being developed as an integrated Indian consumer and lifestyle brand, inspired by traditional products, local enterprise and conscious living. Rather than restricting the brand to a single category, our vision is to gradually build an ecosystem of products and experiences that become part of everyday family life — growing responsibly, category by category.
My vision: connect traditional knowledge, local enterprise, responsible manufacturing, modern retail & digital commerce, and customer awareness — into one trusted Indian lifestyle brand.
I believe entrepreneurship can create meaningful economic and social opportunities for women. As Kalpamrutha grows, I hope it creates room for more women to participate in manufacturing, retail, artisan networks and local commerce.

A traditionally processed cooking oil created for regular Indian kitchens.
Carefully prepared almond oil suitable for multiple personal-care applications.
Prepared with focus on traditional processing practices and multipurpose household use.
Built on coconut and castor oil bases — our entry into everyday personal care.
Beyond what we manufacture directly, Swadeshi Living showcases products sourced from Indian makers, artisans and traditional industries — one platform to discover them together.
Building our own manufacturing capability has been central to the Kalpamrutha journey. Rather than remaining only a reseller, we're progressively developing the ability to understand and control how our core products are made — currently our traditionally processed oils and handmade personal-care range. Manufacturing gives us a way to connect traditional processes with the expectations of today's consumers.
Retail has taught us more about our customers than any other part of the business. Through Kalpamrutha Swadeshi Mart, we've created physical spaces where people can discover our products and interact directly with the brand.
An active Swadeshi Mart retail presence, bringing Kalpamrutha products to visitors in an experiential setting.
One of our earliest retail initiatives, where we first learned how customers discover and buy Kalpamrutha products in person.
Kalpamrutha has been built largely through direct interaction with people — meeting consumers personally, demonstrating products and explaining the thinking behind traditionally processed products.
Through our exhibition stall, we introduced visitors to traditionally prepared Kalpamrutha oils and shared how traditional oil-extraction practices connect to everyday, conscious household choices — a chance to meet families directly and answer their questions.
Numerous exhibitions helped Kalpamrutha move beyond a product on a shelf into relationships built through conversation and demonstration.
Engagement with Startup Karnataka, women entrepreneurship programmes, sustainability initiatives, mentoring and incubation platforms.
Sessions built around explaining traditional product processes and helping people make more informed everyday choices.
Every event has been a chance to test new categories and learn, first-hand, how people perceive the Kalpamrutha brand.
Whether it's entrepreneurship, partnerships, retail opportunities, manufacturing or the Kalpamrutha journey — I'd be happy to connect.
